Darcie Taylor Consulting

Darcie is an experienced nonprofit leader and advisor specializing in fractional fundraising leadership, interim executive roles, strategic hiring, and leadership transition support. With more than 25 years of experience, she partners with organizations during critical moments of change—stepping in as a fractional or interim leader to stabilize and advance fundraising functions, guiding executive searches, and helping teams build the structure, strategy, and talent needed for long-term success.

 

Since 2020, Darcie has worked as an independent consultant and has also served as Managing Director for a retained nonprofit executive search firm. She has advised on more than 100 engagements nationwide. Her work spans fractional advancement leadership, executive transitions, organizational design, and senior-level recruitment, with a focus on aligning fundraising strategy and leadership capacity to mission and growth goals.

 

Darcie’s foundation in advancement includes 14 years at Stanford University, where she held senior roles during both the Campaign for Undergraduate Education and the Stanford Challenge. She also served as a Director at the University of California, San Francisco and the University of California, Davis, contributing to major campaign efforts including the development of the Mission Bay campus and the Robert Mondavi Teaching and Research Winery.

 

Additional leadership roles include Executive Director of two Bay Area nonprofits and Regional Director of Philanthropy at Sutter Health. Across each role, she has been recognized for her ability to step into complex environments, quickly assess needs, and lead teams through transition while maintaining fundraising momentum and performance.

 

A native of Northern California, Darcie lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two daughters. She lists her career highlight as working on NFL legend Bill Walsh’s book Finding The Winning Edge.
